Feel like an anthropologist – discover the real Bali. Your guide will accompany you to see a cremation and a wedding ceremony or cock fight, attend a Bali gamelan/dance performance, visit Bali’s best art showings, visit a Balinese home for lunch, see Hindu Balinese temples, take a Balinese cooking lesson, visit Lake Batur and Mt. Abang, explore village of Trunyan, guided trek through gorgeous rice terraces. Hotel accommodations in first-class hotel including daily breakfast.
Day 1:
Upon arrival at Bali’s Denpasar airport, you are greeted with flowers by your guide and transported to your hotel.
Day 2:
Following breakfast at your hotel, your personal guide will help you explore Hindu Balinese temples on your way to Ubud, the center of artistic life in Bali. Following lunch your guide will take you to some of the most exciting art galleries in Bali, then stroll through Bali’s famous rice terraces and enjoy the lush rural country-side of the world’s most interesting and beautiful island.
Day 3:
Today your personal guide will take you to attend one of life’s most interesting cultural/travel adventures. You can observing a creamation ceremony. You will then be the special guest at a local Balinese family’s home for lunch. The late afternoon is free for swimming, beach, or shopping.
Day 4:
Your personal guide will take you to Mt. Abang and Lake Batur. On route you will attend a Barong traditional dance and musical performance. Then you and your guide will take a canoe across Lake Batur to visit an isolated village of Trunyan, home of the descendants of the original inhabitants of Bali.
Day 5:
Morning is free to enjoy the beach or pool or shopping. Then in the afternoon your guide will accompany you to experience sunset over Tanah Lot, a 16th century Hindu temple that dips into the sea, one of the most photographed places in Bali.
Day 6:
Today you will attend as a special guest a Balinese wedding or cock fight (your choice) followed by a Balinese cooking lesson. You will eat the meal that you prepare.
Day 7:
Free day to enjoy Bali. Sunset dinner cruise starts in the late afternoon.
Day 8:
Breakfast – free at your leisure until departure to Airport
